Accounts Receivables Specialist - 3 Month TTP (Closed)

About the Opportunity  

• Acts aggressively to collect outstanding receivables and keep customer accounts correctly and update 
• Investigate and resolve any receivable inquiries from internal and external stakeholders 
• Act as main accounts receivable liaison with our customers and salespeople 
• Generates and issues customer invoices and credit memos within organizational guidelines. Submit invoices to client’s portal if necessary 
• Prepare and maintain contract invoicing system 
• Apply and maintain customer credit limits with EDC (Export Development Canada) and ERP system 
• Monitor and recommend customers be placed for collection and changes in customer credit limits 
• Calculates and submit monthly AR insurance premium 
• Reconcile and file Canadian sales taxes 
• Maintain and reconcile US sales tax records and filings in Avalara 
• Calculate monthly sales rep’s internal & external commission database and issue approvals for remittances 
• Filing of Customer Invoices and creating new files accordingly 
• Creates and prints out A/R Aging Summary separated by CAD and USD for Accounting Manager 
• Evaluate and recommend solutions for continuous improvement pertaining to level of AR responsibility 
• Calculates quarterly Video Analytics (VA) patent report 
• Payment processing through credit card and application 
• Collect cheque from mail for deposit 
• Assisting in general financial analysis 
• Other accounting tasks as may be appropriate 

About You 

• Education: University/college education, and/or working toward CGA, CPA designation 
• Experience: Minimum 3 years AR/collections experience  
• Knowledge/Training: (preferable but no required) 
• Enrollment in a recognized accounting program 
• Strong communication skill both external and internal stakeholders 
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP experience 
• Accurate 
• Detail-oriented 
• Works well under pressure 
• Strong analytical skills 
• Problem-solving skills

Pay Rate 

$25 - $27/hour
