About the Opportunity

Responsible of full-cycle general accounting, including preparing accounting entries for multi-business lines
Record and reconcile transactions in accordance with accounting standards
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing vendor invoices and customer payments
Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Assist in month-end closing tasks
Review junior associate's work and provide coaching through sharing of experiences and best practices
Take lead in the annual audit to ensure completion in a timely manner and with minimal adjustments
Participate in process improvements to streamline the monthly financial close process
Solid knowledge of tax reporting requirements and respond with tax bureaus
Assist in the development and implementation of new internal control policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with other departments, such as operations and compliance, to ensure the financial health of the company
Assist with ad-hoc projects across the Finance team

About You

CPA/CA/equivalent, or working towards a designation
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
3-5 years experience in full-cycle accounting, preferably in the financial service industry
3+ years of solid experience with QuickBooks or equivalent
Solid understanding of IFRS accounting principles
Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Must be comfortable being Hands-On and demonstrate the ability to operate with minimal supervision
Strong problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy through performing self-reviews
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Salary Range
$60,000 - $80,000/year
