Team Lead, Accounts Receivable (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Lead & Develop Accounts Receivable staff demonstrate AR best practices
• Analyze aged receivables and apply cheques and wires to ERP system
• Analyze customers’ deductions, shortages, pricing discrepancies, and any other claims
• Audit and review customer invoices and statements
• Reconcile aged balances and clean-up with proper approval and back-ups
• Follow up with customers and sales reps to help with concerns on the account
• Review A/R deposit books
• Assist with Month End duties to help streamline the financial close
• Prepare A/R Cashflow for month-to-date and year-to-date
• Review & Develop a comprehensive Volume Rebate process
• Assist in design, development and implementation of new and ad hoc reports as required by the business
• Participate in key AR related projects
• Other duties as assigned

About You

• Diploma or degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role preferably from a complex manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Strong accounting knowledge including Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
• Experience with United States accounting/finance is an asset
• Ability to respond to shifting priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary

$70,000/year
