About the Opportunity
  • Prepares periodic and ad-hoc financial analysis for Finance Department management and other internal customers.
  • Liaises with stakeholders to understand income statement activity and/or trends and provides written commentary on significant findings.
  • Coordinates the consolidation of budget and forecast data including creating templates, gathering data and maintaining system infrastructure. Analyzes budgets and forecasts for accuracy and completeness. Determines the seasonality of the budget and submits the monthly allocation.
  • Supports the overall annual budget cycle by compiling and validating stakeholder submissions.
  • Prepares the annual and quarterly competitive benchmarking analyses. Monitors and reports on changes in competitors’ results, accounting policies, structure and strategy.
  • Prepares business and financial analyses of proposed capital and burial space inventory expenditures, leveraging complex financial models and ensuring an acceptable ROI is achieved and reasonable assumptions are used. Presents analyses to the MBP&A and makes recommendations related thereto.
  • Provides schedules and systems data to internal and external auditors as required.
  • Performs complex inventory reconciliations and investigates discrepancies.
  • Continually strives to streamline, document, enhance and automate AAD reporting, analysis, processes and systems, striving to maximize efficiencies, ensure integrity and minimize costs.
  • Analyzes branch and product pricing, costing and profitability. Makes recommendations for improving sales and profit maximization.
  • Supports financial reporting and analysis requests by being a subject matter expert in extracting data from the ERP.  Assists with systems issues and conversions.
  • Performs other duties as required.

About You
  • CPA
  • 3+ years of Accounting and Finance experience with direct experience in financial analysis, the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets, finance system administration and the creation of financial reports using a finance/accounting database.
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of MS Office, Word and Excel. Proficient in various ERP systems; experience with D365 would be an asset

Salary Range
$85,000 - $95,000/year
