About the Opportunity

• Support the preparation of quarterly reporting materials to the insurance reporting team and senior management
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis to support; group Finance reporting initiatives
• Lead or assist in process harmonization projects related to North America
• Perform peer review of commentary and financial reporting on both, an IFRS (legal entity) and US GAAP (group) reporting basis
• Participate in the preparation of Canadian legal entity regulatory filing requirements, which may include assisting with the preparation of corporate tax returns
• Analysis of business processes and identification of opportunities for improvement
• Assist with the implementation of new IFRS updates and US GAAP

About You

• Accounting Designation
• 7+ years of post-qualification financial reporting experience
• IFRS-based Financial Reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of a major General Ledger system
• Exposure to complex entity structures, with multi-currency reporting, multiple entities, and multiple accounting bases for the same entity
• Previous experience in project work; ability to support and participate in projects related to changes in accounting standards and operational improvements
• Strong interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and resolution skills with high attention to detail

Pay Rate

$50/hour
