About the Opportunity
  • On the Corporate Accounting side, responsible for the financial accounting and analysis related to joint revenue sharing arrangements, revenue recognition, fixed and intangible assets, financing receivables, current expected credit losses, and leases
  • On the Payroll side, responsible for the financial accounting and analysis related to payroll and benefit transactions, as well as the Company’s sales commission programs
  • On the Inventory side, responsible for the financial accounting and analysis related to theatre system inventory transactions and maintenance services, working closely with Supply Chain Management and Global Services
  • Oversee the design and execution of the monthly financial close process in partnership with the Director of Financial Reporting with the goal of ensuring a timely and well-controlled process.
  • In consultation with the Director of Internal Audit, ensure the effective design and operation of internal controls over financial reporting for all functional areas within the Assistant Controller’s organization
  • Collaborate with operational business leaders to anticipate and implement new accounting controls and processes in response to business developments
  • Coordinate external and internal audit requests for all functional areas within the organization. Work closely with the Vice President, Finance of the Asian division, to standardize and harmonize accounting controls and processes
About You
  • CPA with 7+ years’ of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of audit experience, preferably at a Big Four firm, and hands-on industry experience at a global publicly traded company
  • Strong technical skills in U.S. GAAP and familiarity with IFRS Mindset of continuous incremental improvement in the areas of internal controls and related processes, including a focus on identifying opportunities for automation.
  • Confident and experienced leader of people who values cross-functional collaboration and is focused on the development of staff through mentorship and teaching.
  • Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with SAP 
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the company, who can provide information, assistance, and support.
  • Provide timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem.
  • Committed to excellence, looking for improvements continuously, monitoring quality levels, finding root cause of quality problems
  • Ability to prioritize challenges, competing interests; displays diligence in decision making that has risk and/or financial impact
  • Ability to involve others in establishing a shared vision of where the group/function/business is going, setting an example by aligning behaviors with values.
Pay Rate
$65/hour
