Corporate Reporting Advisor
About the Company
Our client is a global company; the successful candidate will encounter a lot of challenges and complexity on a day-to-day basis. While working as part of a larger accounting team, you are able to have an impact on the financial results throughout the company. This role is best suited for a CPA who enjoys researching complex accounting topics. Please note that the office is accessible by TTC.
About the Opportunity
- Assist with the consolidation of monthly financial results, including analysis of financial instruments, hedging, pensions and stock based compensation, performing impairment testing of goodwill and intangibles, and reviewing complex transactions
- Lead as subject matter expert on IFRS
- Research IFRS accounting standards, including determining the impact of new standards, including IFRS15, 39, 9, 16
- Update/draft accounting policies and respond to queries on compliance with these policies
- Prepare quarterly reports to management and board of directors
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated and statutory financial statements, including note disclosures, working papers, and other public company filings, including MD&A, 20F and proxy
About You
- CA with minimum of 4+ years of experience
- University degree
- Experience dealing with large global companies in Canada or the U.S.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS standards
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Salary Range
$88,000 - $92,000/year
