About the Opportunity

• Oversee day-to-day full-cycle accounting and finance functions.
• Prepare consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements in a multi-currency environment.
• Manage the month-end close process and complete financial reporting packages with in-depth variance analysis, applying business acumen to all aspects. Analysis of actual results against budgets, and cost control over corporate expenditures.
• Ensure that accounting practices are in compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls, while promoting continuous improvement.
• Oversee technical accounting matters.
• Coordinate with external auditors on quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
• Oversee statutory reporting for all legal entities.
• Manage cash balances and transfer cash between company accounts as required.
• Establish and document a system of internal controls throughout the company.
• Continuously improve the company's ERP system, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Treasury / Corporate Finance: manage cash balances and transfer cash when required between company accounts.
• Manage or participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.

About You

• CPA designation (CPA, CMA, CGA).
• Ability to prepare consolidated financial statements under IFRS and assist with MD&A reporting with some guidance.
• Experience with consolidation in a multi-currency environment.
• Proven ability in people management, including leading and developing a finance team.
• Strong background in internal controls.
• Big4 Audit experience
• Experience in the mining industry is an asset.

Salary Range
$120,000 - $135,000/year
