Corporate Accountant (Closed)

About the Opportunity

The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of all internal financial reporting for the Company and its related entities, including but not limited to: bank reconciliation and payment preparation, accounting entries, commission and payroll processing, maintenance of accounts receivable and payable, and auditing of contest displays

• Preparation of the monthly financials
• Preparation of bi-weekly payroll and commissions
• Daily cash flow review.
• Monthly Financials and Financial Systems
• Update accounting books and records
• Weekly payment preparation, ensuring appropriate approval of department expenses.
• Preparation of the accounts receivable and accounts payable sub-ledgers
• Ensure proper authorization of expenses
• Prepare vendor payments, including cheques, wire transfers and EFTs
• Summarize credit card payments, including review of supporting documents

About You

• Professional Accounting Designation considered an asset
• University Degree preferred
• Financial statement preparation experience
• Knowledge of income tax and payroll regulations
• Experience with MS Office suite of products with an emphasis on strong Excel skills
• Experience with financial software, including QuickBooks
• Excellent verbal and communication skills, comfortable in dealing with various levels and departments within the organization, including Executive members
• Excellent business and problem solving skills, comfortable in offering suggestions for improvements
• Well organized and effective time management skills
• Able to meet strict reporting deadlines with little supervision

Salary

$60,000/year
