Accounting Manager, Payment Processing and Expenses

About the Opportunity

  • Manage the Company’s transition to a shared payment processing service model, including adoption of standardized processes, internal controls, cost allocations and systems
  • Oversee a team of 3-5 employees ensuring that invoices and company expenses are processed by the team in a timely, accurate, controlled and efficient manner
  • Management and reporting of day-to-day bank transactions
  • Preparation and/or review of daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow reports
  • Establish and maintain processes to ensure accuracy of monthly accruals and to perform expense management analysis
  • Participate in the monthly close process related to expense accruals and expenses analysis.
  • Manage monthly expense allocations to business units and/or products, including the development of allocation bases
  • Develop and maintain operating expense reports analyzing period and budget variances
  • Prepare ad-hoc expense reporting as requested
  • Implement and maintain corporate payment processing policies and procedures to comply with internal control framework and company guidelines

About You

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma, or relevant professional experience
  • CPA, CMA, CGA or enrollment in program preferred
  • Minimum 5 + years’ experience in payment processing or related accounting processes and reporting
  • Process improvements and system implementation experience a plus
  • 3-5 years’ supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls
  • Experience with expense reporting
  • Experience with common AP platforms, including employee expense applications
  • Able to learn new concepts and apply them in a fast-paced environment
  • Exhibit a make-it-happen mentality
  • Strong data analysis and analytical skills
  • Critical Thinking and problem-solving skills

Salary

$90,000/year
