Windows Server Analyst (Closed)

We are currently hiring a Windows Server Support Analyst for an IT Managed Service Provider in East GTA. This position will support external SMB business customers with their Server infrastructure.

About the Opportunity

• Install, configure and maintain Windows Server OS, AD, DNS, DHCP, VMware vSphere, backups, O365
• Implement and support Office 365
• Plan, execute and provide day-to-day technical support and administration
• Accurately record, update and document support requests using the service desk system
• Provide exceptional escalation support requests via phone, email, remote tools and onsite
• Develop and document system standards for computer, network and security devices
• Fulfill service agreements with respect to availability, performance, capacity and security
• Setup and configure all client software and hardware systems
• Monitor client systems and identify potential and actual problems
• Monitor backup systems
• Monitor firewall and network security and performance
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance and conduct security tests

About You

• Minimum 3 years of IT work experience
• Minimum 2 years of Microsoft Windows Server support experience
• Exposure to supporting/using IIS, RDS, Exchange/AD, Windows Servers, backups, SAN/NAS, O365
• Understanding of networking concepts (firewall/switching)
• Exposure to VMWare and/or HyperV
• Understanding of ITIL
• MCSE or MCSA is a big plus
• Exposure to Linux/Unix is a plus
• Communicate clearly and effectively to provide telephone and in-person user support to all levels of clients
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast moving environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to multitask, prioritize and manage daily tasks
• Able to work BOTH independently and supervised
• Patient and supportive with all users and teammates

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000/year
