About the Company

Our client, located in Toronto, is currently hiring a Web Programming Engineer. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on cutting edge client solutions. As the client is building out their Toronto based team, there is an opportunity for this role to eventually turn into a Lead position! If you want to work in a fun environment, work on some interesting projects and help put Toronto Development for this organization on the map, then we need to hear from you! This will be a one-year contract position to start.

About the Opportunity

In this position, you will be instrumental in building out the organization’s eCommerce platform. You will work with a warehouse of 3D objects using pop in and invite codes. You will do the heavy lifting and guide the organization on all aspects of UI and UX

  • Experience with JavaScript
  • Experience with Angular (latest versions would be an asset)
  • Experience with AWS must be strong
  • Experience with GIT
  • Experience with three js framework for 3D
  • Web based AR – any framework here is fine
  • Advantage would go to someone with Computer Vision, JS and CV
  • Experience working with API and RestAPI
  • Experience with Python is an asset
  • Demonstrate your experience in building a User Facing system, like a self-serve console for a video or file archive, Video YouTube interface as an example, with intuitive navigation
  • Experience tying into eCommerce (currently using STRIPE but any payment processing integration is fine)
  • An advantage to someone who has experience with C# as they have a legacy system that needs to be updated as a side project
  • Experience with Infrastructure would help including database, deployment, setup, monitoring, automation with AWS is an asset

About You

  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field of study
  • 7+ years of experience in related field
  • An eye for Style
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and nimble
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while being able to prioritize effectively
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within the gaming or entertainment industry would be an asset

  • A self-starter with the ability to bring great ideas to the table

Salary

$120,000/year
