Our client is a publicly listed company focused in the technology/IT space. They are looking for a VP Finance who will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and deliver value through leading the finance operations function as it relates to financial reporting, FP&A and corporate development

About the Opportunity 

• Providing leadership and training to the finance team at corporate and in the field; 
• Setting policies and procedures throughout the company for compliance, effective, and efficient accounting operations and reporting; 
• Driving process automation and system adoption leveraging best-in-class accounting and financial solutions to integrate operations, improve efficiency, leverage data, provide visibility, and drive business outcomes while laying the ground work for scalability and well-managed growth;  
• Coordinating the preparation of annual and quarterly financial statements, managements' discussion and analysis, press releases; and Board of Directors and other external reporting; 
• Overseeing quarterly reviews and the annual audit with external auditors; 
• Lead the consolidation of back-office accounting functions and business processes into a Shared Accounting Services organization to allow increased operational specialization and focus across the Company’s business units and to efficiently leverage the Company’s fixed cost structure; 
• Management of operating subsidiaries, developing an annual operating plan and financial budget that supports consolidated long-term strategy; 
• Working with management to develop and report on key performance indicators to monitor and drive financial performance; 
• Partnering with IT and business applications resources, creating, coordinating and evaluating financial processes and controls and supporting information systems; 
• Establishing continuous improvement directives focused on using Information Technology; 
• Expanding financial reporting systems to create appropriate dashboard monitoring tools;  
• Overseeing and monitoring financial position, banking and financing activities, and capital structure and monitoring compliance with banking and financial covenants and hedging arrangements, as applicable; 
• Coordinating the review, and liaising with the external auditors as required, of all financial information disclosed in any offering documents; 
• Developing and maintaining a comprehensive cash management and treasury function; 
• supporting any debt and equity financing undertaken by its operating subsidiaries; 
• As an integral member of the acquisition team, supporting financial due diligence and developing and executing appropriate financial integration plans 

About You 

• CPA    
• 10-15+ years of progressive finance operations experience   
• Experience with large ERPs (i.e. SAP, NetSuite etc.)  
• Experience with M&A transactions from a finance / accounting perspective would be an asset 

Salary Range 

$160,000 to $170,000/year
