Our client develops and manufactures innovative material technologies with applications in a broad spectrum of industries and they are looking for a Technical Analyst.

About the Opportunity

  • Work with IT Business Partners to achieve an aligned Business and IT Strategy
  • Support & Maintain the existing IT Systems utilized by the end users in their region
  • Provide functional expertise and knowledge for any IT System that is being implemented in support of the IT Roadmap and Strategy
  • Support of Supply Chain activities within the chosen ERP Systems. Supply Chain activities include, but not limited to:
  • Material Resource Planning (MRP), Master Production Scheduling, Finite Scheduling, Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Logistics
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), P2P Transactions, Customer & Supplier Portal Access for Data Sharing
  • Production Reporting, System Integration to Manufacturing Systems
  • New Plant Builds that require Setup of Production reporting systems
  • Assist and/or support plants with any Kaizens or improvement opportunities relative to
  • Supply Chain Activities for Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return functions of Supply Chain Model
  • Participate in onsite meetings with plant for supporting a project or standard IT operations
  • Conduct end user training
  • Configure and reengineered application setup to fit the needs and wants of different business units
  • Analyze, update and improve business processes & documentation Coordinate project post-implementation reviews with IT PMO
  • In collaboration with the business, monitor and report realization of benefits (as laid out in business case)
  • Must know CMS file tables & structures
  • Able to Create/Run queries using Query/400
  • Familiar with data import and export functionalities within CMS
  • Solve recurring issues, documenting and promoting best current practices
  • Implemented features, providing technical expertise and training and facilitating knowledge transfer to end users
  • Liaison between customers (Plant users) and developers resolving business and technical challenges for implementing enhancement projects
  • Manage conversion projects from one CMS release to another (Release upgrade)
  • Able to train new employees on business procedure and software system (CMS)
  • Evaluate business process and provide improvement suggestions

About You

  • A College/University degree in Information Technology/Systems or Equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain experience and working knowledge of CMS ERP and Standard EDI Practices
  • Develops solutions requiring analysis and research in CMS
  • Works on projects as a project team member or as a project lead preference in CMS projects
  • Experience working with CMs in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in Query/400 on the IBM Power system
  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in SQL

Pay Rate

$50/hour
