Our client is a gold mining company. They are looking for a Supervisor, Corporate Accounting who will be responsible for ensuring the overall integrity of the full cycle accounting and tax & reporting for the company (and all related Canadian entities).

About the Opportunity
Primary

• Reviews the company and all Canadian entities monthly financial reporting & analysis (e.g., monthly reporting package) and communicates key findings to Manager, Business, and key stakeholders
• Oversees day-to-day corporate accounting processes and reports to ensure integrity of the company’s general ledger and oversees accounting for other all Canadian entities
• Reviews monthly recurring corporate schedules (e.g., intercompany invoices, fixed asset and lease schedule, and bank reconciliations)
• Reviews quarterly disclosure schedules (e.g., commitments, share continuity, debt) prepared by Corporate Accountant
• Prepares complex accounting schedules for the company and all Canadian entities (e.g., hedging, SBC, investments, EPS)
• Reviews and files monthly HST and QST returns for all Canadian entities where applicable
• Manages month-end/quarter-end/year-end close procedures for the company and all Canadian entities based on group polices & procedures
• Ensures compliance with DoA Policy (enterprise-wide) and corporate procurement/business expense policies & procedures
• Supports internal & external audits; reviews quarterly external audit fee schedule

Secondary

• Performs various duties within BPS for the company and all Canadian entities, such as validating actuals
• Completes ad-hoc analysis and projects (e.g., GFS data cleansing, UAT, data migration & transition)
• Ensures ICFR for the company and all Canadian entities are met/followed
• Works with the Treasury & Tax on the application of transactional taxes

About You

• CPA designation
• Strong IFRS experience 
• 4+ years’ experience in Full Cycle Accounting (Operational Accounting – this person will oversee AP/AR, month end journal entries, etc.)

Salary Range
$100,000 - $110,000/year
