Sr. Systems and Network Engineer

About the Company   

Our client is provides a broad range of traditional and alternative investment products and services to individuals, institutional investors, and advisors and is looking to hire a senior Systems and Network Engineer 

About the Opportunity 

• Clients work little uniquely as each member wears multiple hats. Looking for someone who has strong experience in networking (CISCO and SDWAN), having exp with project implementation and support for around 900 employees, CCNA and CCNP certificates ae nice to have. 

• All the routers and switches are Cisco, open for people with experience with Juniper and HP, Firewalls Aruba / Palo Alto. SDWAN  - Aruba is implemented and they are tweaking and improving it every 3 months to meet business needs. They will send the new hire for online – training.    

• On the systems side this new individual will focus on on virtualisation with VMWare, storage, Strong understanding of AD. Currently they have over 1000 virtual servers, physical 400, 2 data centre – BC office and Toronto. This person will be physically responsible for data centre in Toronto and virtually for BC. 

About You 

• 50% networking and 50% windows systems administration 

• Networking – LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Switches (Cisco / HP / Juniper), firewall (Aruba / Palo Alto) and routers 

• Windows Sys Admin - Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory (Design, Security and Administration), Messaging (MS Exchange, Archiving, Unified Communications), O365, VMWare 

• Azure hands on experience with virtualization and storage 

• Strong communication skills – working closely with multiple stakeholders 

• Ability to commute 3 days onsite to downtown office 

Nice to Haves: 

• CCNA and CCNP 

• Azure 

• Microsoft certifications

Salary Range 

$50,000/year
