Sr Systems Administrator (Closed)

About the Company  

Our client is a large manufacturer in midtown Toronto and they are looking to hire a Senior Systems Administrator. 

About the Opportunity 

• This role will be  looking at legacy servers and moving them to the new environment. Old servers are a mix of Windows, Linux/Unix, Solaris, even a little bit of IBM mainframe 

• The environment wil be at least 100 virtual machines (VM and HyperV) in a hybrid environment (Azure) 

• This role will mostly deal with servers - deployment, maintenance/support, security, monitoring, patching, etc 

About You 

• Proven experience managing multi-platform server environments - Windows, Linux/Unix, etc including legacy systems 

• Experience building/deploying new servers (vs just maintenance) 

• Strong experience with HyperV and VMware 

• Experience with Office 365, AD/Exchange, Web / DB servers, Azure 

• Strong experience with system security 

• Very good communication skills 

• Ability to work onsite at Downsview Park (401/Allen Rd) at least 4 days per week 

• Experience with Azure and Solaris 

• Some networking experience 

• ITIL experience 

Salary Range 

$80,000 - 100,000/year
