Sr. Project Manager Business Intelligence and Analytics

About the Opportunity

  • Maintains overall responsibility for all aspects of select BI&A projects (initiate, plan, execute, control, and close)
  • Develop project scope and objectives involving key stakeholders
  • Develop detailed work plans (both business and technical) to support key strategic projects and track progress
  • Communicate and report to stakeholders and executives on project performance and work cross-functionally to align priorities
  • Verify project resources and assemble project team; assign individual roles and responsibilities; ensure a common understanding by setting expectations to align stakeholders and team members
  • Adhere to quality standards and review of project deliverables
  • Manage tasks as defined in the project plan, by following up with project team members on execution of assigned tasks, in order to achieve the project goals
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the project plan accurate, updated and reflective of authorized project changes as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate acceptance
  • Maintain project log to track project actions, issues, risks and decisions
  • Measure and monitor project performance using appropriate tools and reports, highlight any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders up to and including the executive team
  • Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and artifacts working with PPM tools and Azure devOps toolsets
  • Work closely with Operations and functional areas in translating scope and requirements into information and data requirements that can be worked on by internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and present project updates to executive stakeholders
  • Assist in advancing the project management office leveraging new PPM tool to shift to online governance and status reporting, tracking budget goals and implementing a process for product milestone tracking

 

About You

  • Experience with traditional challenges facing deployment and adoption of business intelligence tools within an organization and have a proven track record of managing deliveries through agile deliveries and tools
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps toolset
  • Understanding of Data lake, DataMart or Data Warehouse concepts
  • Knowledge of Amazon Web Service concepts and cloud tools would be assets
  • Experience in Business Intelligence Visualization Tools (e.g., Qlik, MicroStrategy, Tableau)
  • Excellent operational, project management, and process improvement methods
  • Experience in Agile and scrum delivery methodologies and tools
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills
  • Superior verbal and written communication abilities
  • Strong ability to work independently and cross-functionally within very tight and specific timeframe
  • Ability to travel 10% (post-COVID)
