About the Opportunity
- Coordinates the development and execution of annual and monthly operational plans
- Provide reports highlighting variances, risks and progress versus plans and ensures remedial actions are implemented
- Prepare, manage and distribute reporting timelines and schedules
- Understand not-for-profit accounting rules and ministry reporting requirements & practices
- Manage finance staff including succession planning and smart goals/performance management
- Prepare financial package materials to be used in communications with senior management, Finance and Audit committee and the Board
- Monitor internal planning processes and procedures to identify and implement process and reporting improvements
- Liaise with the Ministry, ensure compliance and timely completion of Ministry quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Provide financial support for other project and initiatives through completion of ad hoc analysis and reports
About You
- Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)
- 7-10 years’ experience with Broader Public Sector experience
- Knowledge and understanding of financial controls, not-for-profit accounting and ministry reporting standards
- Supervisory or managerial experience
- Advanced skills with MS Excel, Office 365, OneNote required and experience with accounting software (Great Plains) would be an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with superior analysis and problem-solving skills
Pay Rate
$50/hour
