Sr Cybersecurity Specialist

About the Company   

Our client is a large multinational company providing financial software services, and they are looking to hire a Sr Cybersecurity Specialist. 

About the Opportunity 

• The main Cyber and IT teams are in the US, those teams dictate everything - cyber tools, policies, vendors, etc, the Canadian cyber team is here to implement all of the above and make sure that it's being followed, monitored, etc 

• This position is not hands-on, but more of a governance role - to a monitor and make sure everything is done the way it should be, provide reporting, and react to any incidents and deal with remediation. It's basically the 'boots on the ground' for the US cyber team 

• The client prefers to hire someone who is coming out of hands-on IT positions (e.g., servers/networks/etc.) but this role is NOT touching any of these items (IT team and vendors do that) 

• This role will work with the infrastructure and application teams to make sure cyber policies and procedures are properly implemented/followed and monitoring is done properly, any items actioned as they happen 

• Any exposure to PCI, SOC2, NIST, OWASP, AWS is a plus (the company overall is moving to AWS) 

• CISSP or other cyber certs are a plus 

About You 

• Proven history of progressive Cybersecurity positions in mid to large environments 

• Previous hands-on infrastructure management and monitoring skills (Windows/Linux, Cisco, WAF, etc) 

• Current strong experience managing cyber policies/procedures, managing vendor(s), audits/assessments, remediation, monitoring, etc 

• Experience with cyber tools like Rapid7, Qualys, Netskope, Cylance, RIskRecon, Splunk or similar 

• Able to commute to Oakville HQ as needed (a few times per quarter possibly) 

Bonus Items: 

• Experience with multi-national orgs 

• Banking / Financial Services experience 

• AWS experience / certs 

• PCIP, CISSP or CISM/CISA or similar certifications 

• Experience with PCI and SOC II 

Salary Range 

$115,000/year
