Sr Azure Systems Administrator (remote) (Closed)

About the Company   

Our client is a software company in the real esate space, and they are looking to hire a Sr Azure Systems Administrator (remote).  

About the Opportunity 

• The company has done a 'lift and shift' - they have moved all their Windows servers (2003-2008 and MSSQL servers (2005-2017) to Azure (made a carbon copy) 

• Now they are hiring a systems administrator to manage that environment and slowly modernize it to current versions 

• This role ultimately will manage the servers as well as load balancing/firewalls/VMs 

• We are looking for a Senior Azure Administrator who has strong experience supporting/managing production Windows/Azure/VM - based hosting SaaS environments (including IIS and MSSQL servers) 

• This environment consists of 300+ Azure VMs hosting publicly facing web applications 

• These applications are developed with .NET, so ultimately our client is looking for experience managing production server environments for custom-developed applications (on IIS, Microsoft packaged or custom), including promoting code to production with Devops, etc 

About You 

• Strong hands-on experience in supporting/managing production/hosted 24x7 Windows / Azure / VM server environments 

• Understanding of custom-developed SaaS apps hosting, devops/scripting/automation, pushing code to production on IIS / Microsoft ecosystem / .NET 

• Cloud experience (Azure)  

• Good IIS / MSSQL server management experience 

• Good communication and presentation skills 

Bonus Items: 

• Degree and Azure certifications are a bonus 

• Experience working with .NET dev teams 

• AWS exposure is a plus 

Salary Range 

$110,000-$120,000/year
