Software Solution Architect (Closed)

About the Company

• Our client is a Canadian technology company. The  Software Solution Architect that will participate in discussions with the business about solutions/features they need developed, then architect/design the solution, then develop and deploy
• This is a fully remote position, this person can be located anywhere in Ontario

About the Opportunity

• This is a 'full cycle' type of role
• Requirements gathering to solutioning and coding/deployment
• 50% hands-on coding

About You

• Completed university degree in technology/science/math-related disciplines
• Proven senior level software software design skills, including 'full-cycle' design/architecture/development including business interaction
• Completed and current Certifications
• Understanding of Software design principles (eg algorithms, data structures, dev patterns, etc), architecture frameworks etc
• Mix of technical languages/stacks, not tied to any particular environment, still very hands-on with coding
• Strong data/big data experience
• Good communication skills
• Python, Scala is a bonus
• Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure)
• Big data (Hive, Hadoop or similar)
• Application Security experience
• Good full stack experience, including API development
• Strong Data skillset - exposure to big data, hive/hadoop or similar stacks
• Not 'tied' to a particular technology stack and exposed to multiple technologies/languages (e.g. any of .net/java/php/scala/python/etc) and can pick up any of them
• Strong architecture and design experience - design frameworks, formal architecture principles (eg "4+1 view model", Zachman, TOGAF, open source architecture frameworks, etc )
• Strong on documentation/process
• Open source experience is a bonus
