Senior Solutions Architect - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

Our client is currently hiring a Senior Solution Architect who will provide technical architecture expertise and national leadership among participating stakeholder organizations in the customization, deployment, and integration of commercial off-the-shelf solutions.

About the Opportunity

  • Provide country wide leadership and oversee support to a Canadian technical advisory committee with membership drawn from participating stakeholder organizations ensuring a common understanding of the desired future state
  • Establish relationships and lead the processes to reach consensus among participating stakeholder organizations to define technical requirements
  • Provide input and develop content for RFPs or other procurement vehicles and engage in the evaluation of vendor responses
  • Collaborate with other program team and company’s Business Services teams to achieve specific program and project deliverables on time and budget
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the company’s technology team for organization support
  • Participate in the development, execution and evaluation of organization readiness assessments that will inform solution deployment decisions and related plans
  • Review and approve technical deliverables as identified in any statements of work the project may engage in with third party vendors
  • Advise stakeholders on solution architecture, standards, interoperability solutions and project implementations
  • Proactively look for opportunities to optimize/improve proposed solutions
  • Approve project phase deliverables and funding/next phase gates with respect to the deployment of solutions and their target integrations
  • Collaborate with the program team to prepare and present quarterly status reports specifically being accountable for subject matter expertise and insight into the technology architecture and solution integrations.
  • Liaise with selected solution, and solution integration vendors to provide technical insights to current and target states, technical and business strategy, and plans

About You

  • University Degree in Computer Science, or related field
  • 10 years + experience working with large scale enterprise wide system architecture, development and deployment principles and practices; integration of systems
  • More than 5 years of experience working with TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks is an asset
  • Interpersonal skill to manage stakeholder and vendor relationships
  • Team skills to work within a collaborative multi-functional team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information to a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills to work with multiple stakeholders, resolve conflicting priorities and ensure successful delivery of architectural goals and programs
  • Analytical skills to identify gaps, issues and risks in project executions and ability to develop mitigation strategies
  • More than 5 years of experience working with TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture frameworks is an asset
  • Knowledge of Healthcare related standards is an asset (HL7, FHIR, SNOMED, IHE, etc.)
