Senior Software Engineer (Closed)

About the Company  

Our client is a large Canadian public financial and insurance company and they are looking to hire a Java Developer (Remote). 

About the Opportunity 

• This role will be working on Group Retirement (RRSP etc) application platforms 

• This is mostly a backend Java developer position using Java 11 on Unix/Linux, MSSQL, APIs 

• This is a fully remote position which will work in the EST time zone 

About You 

• Proven application development experience in backend Java development (around 5 years) with Spring MVC 

• Experience with REST APIs 

• Experience with Agile development 

• Proven experience with RDBMS, preferably MSSQL  

• Good communication and presentation skills 

• Computer Science degree 

• Exposure to Unix/Linux is a plus 

• Financial industry experience 

• Exposure to message queues like MQ 

• EST time zone 

Salary Range 

$95,000/year
