Our client is a publicly listed real estate company. They are currently looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join their team.

About the Opportunity 

• Oversee the full accounting cycle for multiple development projects 
• Prepare internal and external partner reporting for each project including support for GL balances 
• Liaise and work with other departments and external partners to perform accounting tasks and ad hoc analyses of development projects 
• Perform monthly calculations, reconciliations and recording of revenues, various fees, interest and commissions for each project 
• Perform timely month-end close and ensure recording all pertinent transactions including setting up monthly accruals 
• Prepare and process construction draws and cash calls, record and reconcile project distributions/contributions to ensure sufficient project liquidity 
• Work with development finance team to analyze actuals against budget 
• Assist in the acquisition of new properties including initial set-up and recognition 
• Provide support to the audit and tax teams, respond to queries 
• Assist in supervising junior staff as needed 
• Assist in monthly compliance reporting to lenders, government, partners 

About You 

• CPA 
• 3+ years of accounting experience 
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, IFRS and ASPE 
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel 

Salary Range 

$85,000 - $90,000/year
