Senior Project Accountant (Closed)

About the Company

Our client is a leader in the real estate development industry. They are looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join their collaborative and supportive Finance and Acquisition team. In this role, you will be responsible for accounting, budgeting, loan draws, reconciliations, cash flow forecast and project reporting for assigned low-rise, high-rise, and land development projects

About the Opportunity

• Prepare and book entries for closings for revenue
• Calculate and record intercompany loan interest
• Calculate and book development, construction management and guarantee fees
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Record monthly entries for cost of sales, marketing expenses and costs to complete
• Reconcile customer deposits
• Prepare annual financial statements including supporting working paper files for submission to auditors and assist with audit queries
• Prepare schedule for recoveries from projects on biweekly basis
• Prepare and issue monthly report for detailed cost of sales and margin analysis with variance explanations

About You

• CPA of CPA In Progress is an asset
• 5+ years of accounting, budgeting and cash flow experience with project accounting and construction/real estate experience
• Advanced Excel skills

Salary Range

$75,000 - $85,000/year
