About the Opportunity

  • Direct responsibility of the FP&A function in the preparation of Budgets, Forecasts, Analysis, LOB & Cost Analysis, Project Planning, Key Performance Indicators, Pricing, etc
  • Developing a scalable FP&A infrastructure that will be able to support the evolution/growth of the business – acquisitions, LOB/business segments, product verticals, project tracking/evaluation, cost optimization, allocations etc
  • Enhancement of Management Reporting capability by growing the FP&A’s competencies in business unit/LOB, product-level, and Board packages and insights
  • Support and partnership to the Treasury function – Capital and Debt Management, Funding Facilities, Transactional Banking, Securitization, etc
  • Support of the Corporate Development function including M&A activity, New Business Venture & Deal analysis, Investor Relations support and/or enquiries, and Strategic Planning
  • Manage, coach, and develop a group of financial professionals – promote a culture of high engagement, high performance, and continuous improvement and a commitment to quality
  • Be viewed as a trusted advisor by the LOB leadership and senior executive (ELT) and provide timely and valued support
  • Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of LOB leadership/managers on financial issues impacting department budgets

About You

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) or close to completion
  • A minimum of 4 years of FPA experience in a financial institution
  • Strong understanding of data based structures with some experience building database applications and reporting
  • Implementation experience of Adaptive Planning and Power BI will be considered an asset
  • Experience with accounting systems; ability to access systems to pull financial data for analysis
  • Strong organizational skills, experience in meeting deadlines with multiple projects
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint along with advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues and KPI’s
  • Ability to multi-task and execute with precision; strong attention to detail and follow-through; ability to manage and direct multiple projects and priorities to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent judgment, high discretion and confidentiality

Pay Rate

$65/hour
