About the Opportunity

 

Forecasting & Planning

  • Primarily accountable for the creation of the Bank’s Annual Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, and Medium Term Outlook (3/5/10 Year Plans).
  • Key responsibilities include setting timelines and managing the overall process, developing and maintaining complex financial models, collaborating with all business partners, and producing final outputs and insights for key stakeholders

Financial Analysis

  • Perform business performance and variance analysis, including key business metrics, income statement, balance sheet, and regulatory metrics.
  • Provide strategic, value-add insight to business partners, including identification of risks and opportunities, to improve future business performance.

Special Initiatives

  • Support the development of business cases and various investment analyses, as well as project / initiative budget tracking, prioritization and post implementation reviews.
  • Support the pending acquisition, including assessing the implications of Purchase Price Accounting on projected financial results and regulatory metrics.
  • Play key role in implementation of a new ERP system, specifically focusing on designing and developing Forecasting, Planning & Analysis capabilities, as well as  foundational data structure design to support robust data analytics.

About You

  • Finance / Accounting designation (CPA, MBA, CFA)
  • 8+ years of experience in Finance/Accounting
  • 5+ years Financial Services industry experience
  • Strong financial modelling capabilities with experience creating robust financial plans, forecasts and projections
  • Previous experience coordinating rigorous forecasting and planning cycles and corresponding outputs
  • Relevant FI experience including management and OSFI regulatory reporting, understanding of capital requirements
  • Previous experience with Credit Cards would be an asset
  • Ability to create and modify planning processes and frameworks for new businesses & products
  • Proficient technical skills across multiple technology platforms, with ability to deal with significant volume of data
  • Strong business and process acumen, with ability to analyze strategic requirements, create innovative solutions, and develop action plans
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly collaborative, hands on approach
  • Solution-oriented, strategic business partner

 

Pay Rate

$55/hour
