Our client is one of Canada’s largest privately owned construction companies. They are looking to add a Senior Financial Analyst to their finance team who will support the financial reporting for their organization.

About the Opportunity

• Lead the month-end close process including the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly consolidated financial reporting package
• Ensure month-end checklist tasks and timeline is adhered while incorporating continuous process improvements
• Support the preparation and analytics of Estimated Costs to Complete (ECC) forecasts
• Complete monthly account reconciliations and analysis on key Balance Sheet accounts
• Manage the integrity and accuracy of weekly, monthly, quarterly statistics that represent core KPIs
• Assist the Manager, Finance with planning the external audit and liaison with external auditors as required
• Develop models and other analyses to drive initiatives, monitor trends, identify exceptions
• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
• Improve the quality of financial reports and models and seek opportunities to streamline analysis and processes
• Build analysis and models that aid in the presentation and execution of near and long-term profit plans and objectives
• Recommend and implement improvement plans to realize efficiencies in the month end process to shorten close
• Facilitate, compile and analyze pertinent schedules required for the quarterly and annual audit

About You

• CPA
• 2-4 years of experience from a public accounting firm
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Hyperion or Essbase
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

Salary Range

$85,000/year
