Senior Financial Analyst, Reconciliations (Closed)

About the Opportunity

  • Monitor reconciliation completeness, review and escalate aged and material breaks to internal and external partners for resolution
  • Monitor daily source file transmission, resolve transmission and data issues
  • Work with reconciliation vendors to refine matching criteria to improve match rates, maintain reason and team codes, make necessary updates to improve reconciliation workflow
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation KPI and management reporting
  • Review policy and procedure updates on a regular basis to incorporate best practice and capture process changes
  • Represent Reconciliation in internal operational meetings with the business operations teams in middle and back offices to discuss month-end closures, operational changes/issues, system conversions, and process automations
  • Lead reconciliation process changes/updates to support account/portfolio/asset type/broker/custodian onboarding and offboarding initiatives
  • Provide and/or coordinate training of the reconciliation tools and platforms to new users
  • Oversee internal and external SOC1/SOX audits, incident reporting and remediation plan implementation on the reconciliation processes
  • Oversee reconciliation system enhancement and process improvement requests, including providing business requirements, participating in user acceptance testing and production parallel
  • Oversee the design of tactical plan B’s with adequate controls
  • Actively lead the Reconciliation team to convert the tactical plan B’s to automated process

About You

  • Strong knowledge of the reconciliations process
  • Knowledge of a range of asset types, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and how they are accounted for in the accounting book of records
  • Understanding of Investment Operations and data needs through the trade and portfolio life-cycles
  • Familiarity with Back and Middle Office functions as it relates in Wealth and Asset Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills
  • Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Pay Rate

$30/hour
