About the Opportunity
- Responsible for consolidation of quarterly estimates and forecasts as well as the annual budget submissions from mine operations
- Responsible for review of site planning models for consistency in assumptions, capitalized stripping, metal accounting, capital expenditures, cost, working capital and all KPI’s
- Works closely with site finance teams to maintain the site planning models
- Prepares the forecast and planning presentations for the Executive Leadership team
- Assist in the preparation of the final budget document and presentations to be mailed to the Board of Directors
- Review final budget information loaded to HFM
- Implement new accounting pronouncements and their impacts on planning models
- Key player in the timely preparation of the weekly/monthly management reports
- Review monthly operations’ reports and financial statements for consistency with established company policies
- Participate in monthly COO conference calls with the mines
- Responsible for review and accurate reporting of Operational Working Capital
- Key contributor to the quarterly Audit committee deck and speaker notes, Executive Summary, and the Cost of Sales report
- Analyze and compared to Budget and forecast
- Production, cash cost, All-in Sustaining costs, and Cost of Sales
- Revenue, Cost, and amortization, Earnings, operating cash flow, free cash flow
- Respond to planning related queries by auditors, FRG, Investor relations
- Contribute to the quarterly conference calls with the mines
- Monitor the performance and measurement of strategic initiatives such as the maintenance project
- Responsible for review and accurate reporting of Operational Working Capital
- As a Super user of Business Performance Management system (BPM), drive the design of new and improved customized reports, and ensure the accuracy and validity of KPI entered into BPM
- Super user of HFM: Review and approve financial and statistical data loaded and input into Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- Travel to sites as required
- Continuous improvement initiatives - Assist in the automation of, and improvements in, all analytical models. Preparation of streamlined analysis templates, as required
- Ad hoc projects, as required
About You
- Accounting designation
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Mining experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written and oral communication skills; French preferred, not required
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and to establish priorities with minimal supervision
- Proficient in Excel and Word; experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) preferred
- Willing to travel

Salary Range
$85,000 - $95,000/year
