Senior Financial Analyst, Operations and Costing (Closed)

About the Company

Our client is a Canadian manufacturer supplying the foodservice industry. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Operations and Costing who oversees all the product costing, reporting and variance analysis for two manufacturing facilities. Responsible for the month end close process, maintain effective pricing and costing processes, run and distribute daily, weekly and monthly management reports.

About the Opportunity

• Report, analyze and compile weekly operations results and support team in understanding drivers
• Responsible for various month end close and reporting activities. Ensuring all documentation is reviewed and analyzed in a timely manner
• Capability to lead the finance team within the plant operations. Supporting organization to achieve business results
• Work closely with the team and other departments during the monthly and annual forecasting/budgeting process; tasks such as compiling forecasts, analyzing material waste factors and determining labour standards
• Take on ad hoc projects as assigned, such as tracking of continuous improvement projects, material waste reductions, and labour efficiency/rate validations, and be accountable for their completion
• Suggest process improvements to achieve greater efficiency while maintaining accuracy
• Ensure all SOX control documents are signed off and ready for audit purpose

About You

• CPA
• 4 - 5 years+ of previous experience in an accounting role
• Experience in manufacturing, CPG, or Retail environment with an understanding of costing and inventory
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivots and Formula/Functions experience required

Salary Range

$80,000 - $95,000/year
