Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Work closely with Manager FP&A Investment Finance and provide financial advisory and support to help achieve financial targets, identify risks & opportunities, and provide high quality performance measurement analysis
• Provide financial analysis including variance analysis against operating plan on compensation and historical results, identify operational and strategic implications, and help provide meaningful insights, recommendations, and key actions
• Prepare regular management reports and forecast updates on expenses, working with the business teams to explain variances and support actions plans
• Analyze regional expense data for the investment businesses pertaining to short and long-term forecasts. This includes performing a review function of expenses recorded to ensure they are accurate, properly accounted and in alignment with approved budgets
• Coordinate the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting process with colleagues in Investment Finance and Corporate Finance
• Work closely with business partners to finalize operating plan requests, analyze plan submissions for trends and communicate findings back to Management
• Complete critical assignments within time frames and with minimal direct supervision
• Participate in projects as required

About You

• Minimum 5+ years of working experience in progressively responsible positions
• University degree plus an accounting designation (CPA, CA, or CMA)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of building trusting relationships
• Ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
• Strong analytical ability; able to clearly link financial results to strategic and operational activities
• Expert level skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated technical accounting skills and business acumen
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Assist in developing and implementing opportunities to improve and streamline business processes
• Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with numerous competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Self-starter able to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Works in a collaborative and constructive manner with team and cross functional partners
• Strong standout colleague with a positive attitude, willingness to help colleagues and “go above and beyond”

Pay Rate

$45/hour
