About the Opportunity
Support the external financial reporting process

• Actively supports and participates in the quarterly close process to facilitate the production of accurate and timely external financial reporting documents under US GAAP
• Facilitates and drives the Financial Statement and Management Discussion and Analysis (“MD&A”) production process
• Prepares supporting working papers, including the documentation of procedures, that meet internal control and external audit requirements
• Supports quarterly review and year end audit requests from the external financial auditors
• Preparation of accounting memos under US GAAP

Preparation of the corporate accounting month end close process

• Takes ownership of the corporate accounting process, including proposing and preparing supporting journal entries, and maintaining monthly schedules and monthly close
• Preparation of monthly reconciliation of key accounts 
• Dealing with complex accounting issues including accounting for acquisitions, digital assets, hosting & site management transactions, stock-based compensation, translations, and consolidations under US GAAP

Research and analyze complex accounting standards

• Prepares clear and concise technical analysis of significant business transactions and new accounting standards under US GAAP

Continuous improvement of financial system and processes

• Provides support and best practices to business units through education and updates as needed to reporting templates in order to drive company-wide efficiencies
• Ensures system generated reports are updated when new accounts are created or new business units are added

Support and manage special and other projects in finance

• Assist with the creation of both corporate and operating accounting policies under US GAAP
• Supports the administration of the stock-based compensation program
• Any other duties assigned by the Accounting Manager or Corporate Controller.

About You

• CPA designation
• Big 4 firm experience
• Outstanding knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong Excel skills
• Equity-based compensation/share-based compensation an asset
• Complex accounting analysis and treatment
• Continuous disclosure requirements knowledge

Salary
$90,000 - $100,000/year
