Senior Financial Analyst - Data Specialist (Closed)

Our client is a leading telecommunications company. They are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst, Data Specialist to oversee and take responsibility for significant data analysis, modelling, trending, and other related duties.

About the Opportunity

• Develop scripts using SAS, Python or SQL in order to validate match rates (with our existing customer base) against third party datasets
• Prepare the weekly and monthly tracking and analysis for wireless equipment portfolio and manage relationships with other key business stakeholders.
• Perform monthly performance analysis and the comparison to budget and forecast; prepare variance analysis commentary for senior leadership on a regular and timely basis to communicate key trends and observations.
• Actively participate in annual budget and forecast preparation; assist in the presentation of the financial elements of the strategic plan.
• Work with the business line managers to proactively determine risks/opportunities and implement strategies.
• Innovate and define new data collection and analysis processes
• Drive enhanced integration, automation & efficiency around data and analytics
• Report on analytic results and insights back to relevant team members in the business
• Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, articulate business value and own delivery roadmap within Rogers data platforms
• Participate actively in business decision-making by offering quantitative and qualitative feedback, recommendations, and discussing "what-if" scenarios; prepare and present new project initiatives to senior management.
• In conjunction with the Manager, design and implement processes to support new initiatives resulting in value-added change.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews of major projects with project owners.
• Supporting and guiding business decision-making process by presenting findings, projections, and recommended actions.

About You

• Strong modelling and analytics experience
• Business partnering experience
• 3-5 years related experience
• SAS/SQL knowledge 

Salary Range

$70,000 - $80,000/year
