About the Opportunity

• Assist with monthly closing activities including journal entries and intercompany invoices
• Coordinate the quarterly and annual financial reporting process for Financial Services through collaboration with business units and Investment Accounting team
• Prepare the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and notes and maintain supporting documents
• Prepare a detailed analysis of the consolidated financial statements each quarter explaining balances and variances
• Assist with the preparation of the annual MD&A
• Coordinate the interim and year-end audits with the internal and external auditors
• Prepare and review financial information presented to committees
• Manage the information needs of Actuarial Services in order to facilitate completion of
• Prepare regulatory reports on a timely basis including statutory and statistical reporting, Statistics Canada and CRA
• Manage the financial reporting and financial information requirements of various legal entities including coordinating cash withdrawals, financial schedules, financial statements
• Complete sensitive assignments at the direction of the Manager or Director within tight time frames and with minimal supervision

About You

• CPA, CA
• 5-10 years of experience in progressively responsible accounting and reporting functions
• Consolidations, IFRS and good technical accounting experience
• Team player able to operate in a fast-paced environment with numerous priorities and reporting deadlines

Salary Range

$80,000 - $85,000/year
