Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Support in the preparation and maintenance of the annual financial budget and monthly forecast model, ensuring assumptions and risks and opportunities are understood and are accurately embedded in the models within established timelines
• Assist in the development of sophisticated financial model construction in Excel including modelling volume, gross to net sales and gross profit at different levels i.e., SKU, Brand, Customer, Region, and/or Entity
• Assist in the creation of Business Review presentations
• Lead the demand and sales forecast monthly cycle, presenting financial impact of changes and drivers to management levels during the S&OP meetings
• Support Market and Sales data analytics and develop scalable financial models or reports that align and simplify monthly business reviews and forecasting processes
• Evaluate alternative commercial scenarios and model the impact on the P&L, gathering insights and making recommendations to help improve top-line, mix, and profitability
• Prepare monthly financial reports by Brand and Customer including profitability, providing fact-based insights into variances and trends vs. targets
• Monitor and review sales volume and pricing variances to identify issues and ensure accuracy of financial results
• Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tools and Dashboard reports
• Support month-end process for revenue recognition
• Support Marketing and Sales team in pricing strategy decisions and profitability targets, supporting analytical work around market trends, category and competitors
• Suggest and implement enhancements to existing pricing processes and systems
• Maintains pricing in the system and review discrepancies to apply corrections as needed
• Complete ad hoc financial modelling and analysis

About You

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
• 2-4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within CPG or similar environment
• Advanced Excel and strong modelling skills; Macros / VBA, SQL or any programming experience is a strong asset
• Very strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to propose positive business solutions to complex problems
• Ability to work with large amounts of data and disseminate relevant data to identify and summarize key messages and assumptions
• A result oriented, hands-on, highly motivated team player that can also work independently and take responsibility for own actions
• Displays self-awareness and ability to deal with ambiguity and change in a time sensitive environment
• Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Bring a strong work ethic and positive attitude to your responsibilities every day
• Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately

Pay Rate

$40/hour
