Senior Financial Analyst - 8 Month Contract (Closed)

Our client is looking for a Senior Analyst for a longer term contract.

The Senior Financial Analyst (“SFA”) will be accountable for completing the financial reporting processes and providing analytical support to produce financial reporting and ongoing operations of the offered third party funds, with a focus on the Real Estate products. This role will work closely with several teams throughout the organization to deliver timely results.

About the Opportunity

• Preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting including the financial statements and required regulatory filings
• Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures in compliance with IFRS and / or US GAAP
• Preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages in collaboration with Real Estate Property Accounting and Operations team
• Assist with the coordination of the annual audit and work directly with external auditors for the 3rd party real estate funds
• Review and checking accuracy and completeness of the information provided by internal operations and reporting teams
• Assist in the preparation of the Board reporting package on a quarterly basis and supporting financial analysis as required
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and new initiatives within the department
• Strong focus on collaboration and relationships with various internal and external stakeholders

About You

• Professional accounting or finance designation strongly preferred (CPA, CA, CFA, or equivalent)
• 3-5+ years of related business experience and experience analyzing financial statements
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures under IFRS and / or US GAAP
• Excellent ability to communicate both written and verbally
• Advanced level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS office tools
• Experience with Yardi system is considered an asset
• Experience with REITs or REOCs a strong plus

Pay Rate

$35/hour
