Senior Financial Analyst - 6 Month Contract to Permanent (Closed)

Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for a 6 month to permanent opportunity.

About the Opportunity

• Compilation and analysis of financial information to prepare MD&A including associated supporting working papers
• Research, documentation and guidance on accounting issues as requested
• Maintenance of the accounting policy documentation
• Update and maintenance of the company’s website, including press releases, financial documents
• Compile and update the quarterly investor presentation
• Coordinate the related parties process
• Prepare key expense account analysis and investigate fluctuations
• Generate financial statements and supporting schedules for monthly reporting or as needed
• Respond to inquiries from various departments regarding monthly departmental/regional reports
• Business partnering to achieve effective information flow and consistent processes
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Provide project management and leadership for finance process improvement initiatives
• Assist in quarter/year end functions and audit preparations
• Various ad-hoc tasks as requested

About You

• CA/CPA accounting designation
• 3 -5 years hands on public company experience
• Complete knowledge and practical experience of full accounting cycle
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CDM, Website tools, Hyperion an asset
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Detail oriented and proactive
• Assertive, self-motivated, and goal oriented
• Flexible/adaptable to change and a quick learner
• Able to communicate ideas and solutions clearly and concisely in English (written and oral)
• Ability to work independently as well as function effectively in a team environment

Pay Rate

$40/hour
