Senior Financial Analyst - 6 Month Contract (Closed)

About the Opportunity

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the annual budget as well as the preparation of quarterly forecasts
  • Supports managers in various sectors to ensure a good understanding of their budgets, follow up on results and obtain explanations of variances
  • Support the closing of the month with overview analyzes to validate the results and identify missing accruals, if any
  • Prepares, analyzes and documents to keep the management team on the lookout for results, explain discrepancies and the action plans put in place
  • Prepares documents for the Board of Directors and Finance Committee and Audits on results and variances against the approved budget

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to finance and control staff, as needed, and perform all other related tasks such as, for example, the creation and validation of budget codes
  • If necessary, supports the controller on the validation of supporting documents for the payroll group in order to validate payroll expenses
  • Collaborate and support for the implementation of projects in the finance sector
  • Produces written procedures for the budget process, help documents on the use of Business Central and the use of PowerBI reports
  • Supports business managers by building, maintaining and improving dashboards on PowerBI so that they can make informed decisions and take corrective action when needed

About You

  • Diploma in accounting (CPA or equivalent) or in business administration
  • 8 years of relevant experience including several years in budget development and monitoring, preparation of quarterly forecasts and action plans to meet our objectives
  • Skilled at developing financial models to develop budgets and forecasts and consider potential scenarios
  • Agile and curious in developing the analysis to get to the heart of the matter and find the answer
  • Excellent command of Excel and PowerPoint and good knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Google applications
  • Good knowledge of French and English (written and oral)
  • Collaborative spirit, proactivity, attention to detail, analytical skills, good oral and written communication, good management of time and associated deadlines, very good organizational skills, good interpersonal relations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central is an asset

Pay Rate

$40/hour
