Our client is a large consumer services and energy solutions company. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for various accounting functions including reconciliations, documentation, process improvement etc.

About the Opportunity

• Utilize strong knowledge of GL accounts and demonstrate expertise in preparing monthly journal entries with tight month end timelines
• Analyze assigned financial accounts monthly and prepare comprehensive account reconciliations
• Provide insightful analysis, in-depth review and meaningful commentary on financial results
• Actively participate in various projects, including data migration and process improvement initiatives
• Provide supplementary & ad-hoc reporting / analysis as required.
• Assist in the facilitation of interim and year end audits
• Prepare selected supplementary schedules and analysis for financial statements
• Partner with various individuals within finance and the business to improve control and efficiency
• Assist in the creation and implementation of Policy and Procedures to enhance Internal Controls
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

About You

• CPA, CA designation
• Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting / finance experience
• Audit & Controls experience preferred
• Strong / Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with SAP and system integration projects is an asset
• Ability to travel to Western Canada

Salary
$90,000 - $100,000/year
