About the Opportunity

Own the month end process for business units, manage full cycle accounting and maintain complete records of all financial transactions in accordance to IFRS, including recording day to day financial transactions and posting journal entries.
Assist in the preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly and quarterly reporting within deadlines and with high attention to accuracy, including Account reconciliation preparation, analytical review, and variance analysis.
Coordinate and prepare customer invoices and assist in the monthly reconciliation of key billing and AR related accounts (i.e., work in progress, AR, deferred revenue).
Assist in sending customer statements on a monthly basis for outstanding balances to the customers and follow up on payments, proactively identify and escalate, as necessary, past due customer accounts and recommend actions for resolving delinquent accounts
Assist in workforce management by keeping track of headcount movements and departmental allocation, prepare commission calculation and coordinate staff expense reimbursement
Assist with forecasting and budgeting, understand sales pipeline and business development, monitor changes and trends in operating expenses
Prepare management reports to facilitate quarterly strategic review presentations, conduct performance analysis using various KPI’s and draft up presentation slides
Implement process improvements to accounting processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience

Pursuing CPA Designation

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Familiar with full cycle accounting

Proficient with Microsoft Office – Intermediate in Excel

Experience working with Microsoft Great Plains is an asset

Salary Range
$80,000/year
