Our client is a fully integrated commercial real estate advisory and capital firm. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be involved at various depths with financial reporting, treasury and liquidity, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting.

About the Opportunity

• Corporate Accounting – Assist with certain day-to-day corporate accounting activities, including preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, working paper files and variance analyses of actuals vs. budget etc., as well as overall reasonability of accounting records to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial information.
• Financial statements - Assist in the preparation of consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis and actively participate and support the resolution of complex technical accounting issues, including coordination with auditors.
• Forecasting / Budgeting – Assist in the preparation of Corporate quarterly forecasts and annual budgets/long-range plans.
• Process Improvement and Automation – Champion a best practice environment for the team and harmonize processes where possible. Benchmark delivery standards and encourage a continuous improvement culture to meet or exceed those benchmark standards.
• Tax and Debt Compliance – Participate in government financial and taxation reporting requirements including assisting in the calculation of tax provisions, assisting with annual corporate filings, and preparation of covenant calculations for the banks, as required.
• Systems – Champion the interests of the Corporate Accounting team as we complete an upgrade of our existing Yardi ERP system and implement additional modules to increase our day-to-day productivity.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

About You

• CPA
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience in a national accounting firm and /or similar experience within the commercial real estate industry.
• Proficiency in IFRS preferred; proficiency in Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) considered an asset.
• Advanced skills in Excel and Word.

Salary Range
$90,000 to $95,000/year
