Our client is one of the largest social service agencies in Canada. They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team and will be a central resource responsible for accounting and financial reporting.

About the Opportunity

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with accounting standards.
• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls and provide support on special requests.
• Participate in various department-wide initiatives.
• Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors.
• Allocate and prepare monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet analysis reports.
• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.).
• Responsible for the continuous improvement and automation of the accounting and reporting process.
• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary.
• Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations.

About You

• CPA designation or in progress
• Minimum 2-3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting
• Experience with bank cash management systems.
• Experience in an NPO environment is a strong asset
• Experience in financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
• Intermediate experience using MS Excel (financial and data functions).
• Experience with MS Great Plains, Management Reporter, Ariett, and Insite considered an asset.

$80,000/year
