They are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be assisting in the preparation and analysis of month end closing and reporting and support the asset management analyst on maintaining the fixed asset ledger and reports, running of department P&L reports, monthly and quarterly journal entries, account analysis, special projects as needed, preparation of insurance forms, property damages claims, and preparation of audit information for external auditors.

About the Opportunity
- Assisting Senior Manager of Financial Reporting in month end closing procedures and journal entries
- Responsible for account analysis for several GL accounts
- Responsible to record all department accruals and manage prepaid schedules for all entities
- Understand and assist with the fixed asset module; approving AP vouchers for Capex along with other fixed asset duties
- Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports and analysis in a timely manner for queries from department heads, shareholders and internal stakeholders
- Responsible for preparation of property damages accounts receivable reconciliation and monthly journal entries and working with Highway Operations to streamline this process
- Help with completion of schedules needed for insurance renewal process
- Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned.
About You
- CPA designation or in progress
- Minimum 2 years working experience in an accounting or finance environment, exposure to IFRS and Public financial reporting and analysis is required.
- Exposure to IFRS and Public financial reporting and analysis is required
- Sound experience in IFRS standards and public reporting with SEDAR
- Proficient working knowledge of MS applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Salary
$90,000 - $95,000/year
