Senior Financial Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Preparation of the company’s financial statements and other external reporting documents as required
• Research of complex accounting matters and drafts technical accounting memos, if required
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Assists the Manager with improving departmental processes to gain efficiencies, makes recommendations on improving established policies and procedures, and implements changes
• Prepares journal entries and other analyses for month-, quarter- and year-end close in the area assigned
• Account reconciliations and analysis of assigned balance sheet accounts and reviews assigned balanced sheet accounts, completed by staff, prior to submitting to the Manager for review and approval
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

About You

• Accounting Designation
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
• Ability to think critically and recommend ideas for improvement of existing policies and practices
• Proven ability to analyze complex, multi-dimensional issues
• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage varying deadlines
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills, including drafting technical accounting memos
• Strong attention to detail
• In-depth knowledge of preparing and analyzing account reconciliations
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel

Pay Rate

$40/hour
