Senior Financial Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Analyze all inventory and standard costing related expenses throughout the month – production variances, stock count adjustments, inventory revaluations etc. Communicate/Liase with the business (sales, project managers etc.) to understand and adjust as needed
• Plan and supervise Canada wide wall to wall inventory counts and monitor the results of the cycle counts.
• Ensure all assigned account reconciliations are completed and reviewed, analysis is detailed, and actions taken as needed prior to the end of the month
• Prepare and review accruals for completeness and accuracy
• Assist the Controller to coordinate the preparation of the annual budget, monthly updates, and quarterly forecast
• Analyze freight expenses, accruals related to freight and recoveries associated
• Analyze data (actual, forecast and budget) trends to identify significant variances and provide justification as required
• Prepare actual vs budget, actual vs forecast and actual vs prior year analysis
• Load, check and reconcile balances for month-end reporting
• Participating in ongoing internal compliance testing
• Assist with internal and external audit as needed
• Complete Month End variance review and analysis
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
   

About You

• Strong working knowledge of SAP
• 2-3 years’ experience specifically with inventory in a manufacturing or mining environment is a strong asset
• Ability to analyze complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses intuition and experience to complement data; designs work flows and procedures
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations
• Displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions; includes appropriate people in decision-making process; makes timely decisions

Pay Rate

$40/hour
