Senior Financial Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity 

Our client is currently in need of a Senior Financial Analyst who is experienced within Property Accounting for a 3 month contract. 

• Responsible for overseeing the real estate division and full cycle day-to-day accounting which includes: review of journal entries, accruals, reviewing accounts payable, oversight of bank reconciliations, HST reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations 
• Review and approval of CAM and Tax recoveries and reconciliations for properties 
• Oversee the month end close process and timeline, including the review and commentary of monthly financial statements and financial reports, as well as monthly variance analysis and discussion to support actual to budget variances for assigned properties 
• Assist with year-end audit processes through the preparation of audit working papers 
• Other ad-hoc projects as required 

About You 

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required 
• CPA Designation or working towards obtaining a designation 
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience within the real estate industry 
• Excellent time management skills, ability to meet tight deadline and attention to details 
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Experience dealing with 3rd party accounting relationships  
• Experience with Yardi or another property management software is preferred 

Pay Rate 

$37/hour
