Senior Financial Analyst (Closed)

About the Opportunity

• Assist in the preparation of the public company quarterly, annual financial statements, annual information form, management information circular and supporting schedules
• Assist in the preparation of Audit Committee and Board of Directors quarterly finance presentations and supporting schedules
• Assist with the coordination and completion of the independent auditor’s requests during interim and annual audits
• Assist in the monthly and quarterly financial close process including liaising with business units to resolve issues arising during the close process, reconciliation / analysis of key financial statement accounts, consolidation of reporting unit schedules and preparation and maintenance of the consolidation reporting schedules
• Month-end accounting for payroll transactions
• Maintain an ongoing detailed understanding of the company’s financial performance
• Ad-Hoc analysis and special projects, as assigned

About You

• 3-5 years of financial analyses experience in a similar role
• Experience in the manufacturing industry would be an asset
• University degree in a relevant field and CPA designation or at an advance stage to complete CPA designation
• Knowledge and experience in the preparation of external financial reporting for public companies and payroll is an asset
• Knowledge and experience with foreign currency transactions and translation, would be an asset
• Advanced computer skills with Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Candidate must be able to prepare pivot table with slicers and use lookup formula
• Proven analytical and reconciliation skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail
• Exemplary interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships
• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and move between projects continuously
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to handle confidential material with the highest level of discretion
• Committed to team-based environments
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in environments of significant change
• Ability to work without direct supervision

Salary

$75,000/year
