Senior Financial Analyst (Closed)

As a key member of the Finance team, you will primarily be responsible for the external reporting including revenue recognition, technical research, month-end processes and annual impairment analysis.

About the Opportunity

• Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors and internal company staff
• Work closely with external auditors and other external reporting team members during quarterly reviews and annual external audits
• Prepare financial statements and note disclosures, audit committee presentations, MD&A and other reporting related analyses and deliverables on a quarterly and annual basis
•  Assist with the preparation of consolidation working papers, cash flow proof and certain note disclosure supports
• Lease accounting under IFRS 16 in conjunction with utilizing the lease accounting software, including preparation of entries, reconciliations, analysis, etc.
• Prepare certain corporate month end reconciliations
• Technical accounting research and preparation of accounting memos under IFRS
• Review current and prospective accounting standards and ensure compliance with applicable standards
• Assist with implementation of new and amended accounting standards
• Assist with internal controls assessment, including control testing and documentation and assessment of deficiencies

About You

• CPA, CA
• Experience from a larger public accounting firm with IFRS exposure
• Advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
• Solid knowledge of internal controls

Salary Range

$80,000 - $85,000/year
